Students will learn multiple techniques for folding fabric and paper to create one of a kind dye designs. Each method produces a different result and no two patterns are alike.
By beginning on paper students will be able to analyze how their folding technique affected the final outcome and choose a method to produce a final fabric tapestry which will be displayed on a hanging device
Textile Designers draw from rich traditions in fabric decoration methods including dyeing techniques. These textiles have a range of applications in the home decor, fashion, and crafting communities. Also, hairstylists use dye to color hair.
